Teachers

Teachers sometimes surprise us!

Questions to consider...
1. Who are your favourite teachers and why?
2. Why do you think your teachers do their jobs?  Is it just for the money?
3. Why are you in school?  Obviously attending school is a legal requirement for you but why do you do the things you do in school?  Why do you behave the way you do?  Why do you work the way you do?  Why are YOU here?
4. When Einstein was in school, his mother would ask him each day, "Did you ask any good questions today?"  Do you ask good questions in school?  How would this help your learning?
5. What's the point of learning anything ever?

A Bible verse to consider...
Out in the open wisdom calls aloud,
    she raises her voice in the public square;

on top of the wall she cries out,
at the city gate she makes her speech:

‘How long will you who are simple love your simple ways?
How long will mockers delight in mockery
    and fools hate knowledge?
Repent at my rebuke!
Then I will pour out my thoughts to you,
I will make known to you my teachings. (Proverbs 1:20-23)

A prayer...
Lord, thank you for giving us the ability to think, learn and grow wise so we can make good decisions in life.  Please help us to make the most of every opportunity to do this more and to respect and help our teachers.  Amen.
